2021 Annual Business Meeting
Christian Science in Metro Chicago

Thanks to those who joined us via zoom earlier today, November 6, 2021, for the annual business meeting and for your enthusiastic support of the activities of our joint activity, Christian Science in Metro Chicago. Here’s a brief recap of the meeting:

2021 Accomplishments (Jan-Sep)

• 700,000 Contact Points (29% increase over last year)
  566,393 via Internet (Google Search & Ads, Website & Social Media)
  75,000 via Print Advertising
  4,700 via Phone Line
  16,020 via Field Communications
• Over 15,000 website page views – highest year ever (csmetrochicago.org)
• More than 450,000 views of our Google ads resulting in more than 5,000 clicks to our website with visitors staying around 1min20 per session
• Promoted all area lectures on Facebook reaching approximately 3,000 individuals per event (https://www.facebook.com/csmetrochicago/)
• Expo activity cancelled during 2021 due to pandemic
• Served an average of 900 repeat callers on the telephone call-in line with an average of 6,000 calls/month (630-929-5635)
• Sent 26 e-newsletters to 450 subscribers sharing news of upcoming events and online & in-person resources to learn more about Christian Science
• Hosted an online meeting with the editors of Christian Science periodicals with 80 participants
• Created a set of 18 inspirational posters for use in Reading Rooms, Sunday Schools and Church lobbies
• Updated Bylaws to reflect more inclusive definition of Participating Churches (download Bylaws)

End-of-year expenses anticipated to be 20% less than expected; donation trends on par with last year although contributions from area churches have declined

2022 Objectives
The proposed 2022 Strategic Plan was unanimously ratified. CLICK HERE to download the plan.

2022 Budget
Estimated expenses for 2022 are $70,550.

Freewill donations, by individuals and from branch churches/societies, will enable the planned activities to move forward. Financial contributions can be sent to Christian Science in Metro Chicago, P.O. Box 768, Chicago, IL 60690-0768 or via Paypal.
