Developed by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science, Each lesson includes passages from the Bible and her seminal work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. There are 26 subjects in total that rotate throughout the year with fresh citations compiled each week specific to the overall subject. It is considered one of the primary tools supporting the spiritual development of students of Christian Science.

Considered so pivotal to spiritual growth, this study lesson comprises the Sunday worship service sermon read in all Churches of Christ, Scientist worldwide. It is also a prominent teaching aid in Christian Science Sunday Schools.
